COLUMBUS, Ohio  —  Women’s volleyball played a full five set scrimmage match Monday night in St. John Arena with the Gray squad defeating the Scarlet, 15-13, in the fifth game. The scrimmage was in preparation for the team’s opening weekend when they play four matches in two days at the Tribe Invitation on the campus of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.

In the combined stats of the match, freshman middle blocker Mariah Booth recorded 22.5 points with 15 kills, one ace serve, six solo blocks and an assist block. Junior outside hitter Katie Dull had 21.5 points in the contest recording 17 kills, three ace serves, a solo block and one assist block. Senior middle blocker Kristen Dozier collected 19 points in the match with 16 kills, one ace serve, one solo block and two assist blocks.

The Buckeyes open the 2009 season by facing Rider (10 a.m.) and North Carolina A&T (5 p.m.) Friday, Aug. 28 and play Maryland Eastern Shore (Noon) and host William & Mary (7 p.m.) Saturday, Aug. 29.
