Buckeyes Participate in Big Ten Media Day

INDIANAPOLIS – Members of the Ohio State women’s basketball program traveled to Indianapolis on Thursday as the Big Ten Conference hosted its annual basketball media day inside the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indianapolis Pacers.

Head Coach Kevin McGuff, senior guard Braxtin Miller and junior guard Jacy Sheldon represented the Buckeyes at media day, which featured men’s and women’s players and coaches from half of the Big Ten schools with the other half going to media day on Friday.

Following a welcome from Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, each head coach held a press conference on the main court, followed by one-on-one interviews with head coaches and student-athletes. Coaches and student-athletes also participated in break-out sessions hosted by ESPN, FOX, CBS, NCAA.com, Big Ten, Sirius XM, the Journey and NBA/WNBA.

“I love this team and more importantly, they love each other,” said McGuff. “We have great chemistry right now and I’m excited to see what we can do.”

“I love the interaction of the fans and I love the fact that we have a great home-court advantage at the Schottenstein Center,” said McGuff. “We have great fans at Ohio State.”
