COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio State rifle team competed at the University of Memphis for the first time Saturday, participating in the Memphis Tiger Open.
Overall Ohio State fired a 4628 combined score including a team record in smallbore.
In smallbore the Buckeyes fired a team record 2310 led by sophomore Remington Lyman and freshman Deanna Binnie who fired matching 583 scores. For Binnie it was her first match as a Buckeye and for Lyman it was a personal best performance. Senior Amanda Luoma fired a 574 while freshman Chrissy Thomas started her Buckeye Career with a 570. Alex Kimura fired a 563 to round out team scoring for Ohio State.
In air rifle the team fired a 2318 led by Luoma’s 584. Lyman posted a solid 583 while Kimura (576), Binnie (575) and Thomas (570) rounded out team scoring for the Buckeyes.
