Ohio State basketball fans can get an early look at a host of new faces at the Buckeyes on the Black Top event Oct. 8.
The men’s and women’s basketball teams will be on hand for the 7 p.m. event at the RPAC Lincoln Tower Outdoor Courts. Plan to arrive early. Space is limited. Fans are encouraged to use the pay parking garage just north of Ohio Stadium.
The teams will participate in basketball drills, skills competition, 3-point and dunk contests.
This is a free opportunity for all fans to get to know the 2015-16 Ohio State basketball teams.
The women’s team opens the season officially Nov. 13 at South Carolina with the home opener vs. defending national champion Connecticut Nov. 16 at Value City Arena.
The men’s team begins the season at home Nov. 15 vs. Mount St. Mary’s.
Combined, the Ohio State basketball teams face seven of the eight 2015 NCAA Final Four teams this season. The women play South Carolina, Connecticut, Maryland and Notre Dame this year while the men’s team faces Kentucky, Wisconsin and Michigan State.
