Buckeyes Ninth on 2021 National Academic Team Champion List

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The College Gymnastics Association released its 2021 national academic team rankings and individual All-America Scholar-Athlete lists on Friday. Ohio State ranked ninth on the team list with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.248 during the 2020-21 school year. Eleven Buckeyes earned scholar-athlete all-American recognition.

To be named to the 2021 All-America Scholar-Athlete First Team, individuals must obtain at least a 3.5 GPA while a minimum of a 3.2 GPA is required to make the All-America Scholar-Athlete Second Team.

Ohio State gymnasts to make the first team include: Andrew Brower, Paul Burney, Donovan Hewitt, Tyler Rockwood, Sean Neighbarger, Kameron Nelson, Dexter Roettker, Jesse Tyndall, Curtis Chang and Joshua Seltzer. Luke Smigliani was honored on the second team.

Brower and Neighbarger concluded their Ohio State careers having earned a spot on the All-America Scholar-Athlete First Team all four years of their eligibility.
