COLUMBUS, Ohio – Evan Moyse, Austin Pooley and Dominic Vidoli of the Ohio State men’s hockey program have been named Krampade AHCA All-American Scholars, the American Hockey Coaches Association announced Monday.
Because of the effects of Covid-19, the AHCA adopted revised criteria for this year’s honorees. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.6 grade-point average for each semester, regardless of whether the school’s hockey team was able to play this season or not.
Pooley, a senior in 2020-21, earned the AHCA academic honor for the third time. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance in the spring. Moyse, a Spring 2021 graduate in marketing after completing his senior campaign, is a first-time AHCA honoree, as is Vidoli, who was a sophomore in 2020-21 and is a biology major.
This year, Pooley was also named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, while he and Moyse earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition. Pooley, Moyse and Vidoli all earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete accolades.
