COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s soccer team will appear at least three times on the Big Ten Network during the 2011 season, announced this week by the network. The Buckeyes’ home game vs. Michigan and road contests at Michigan State and Indiana will bring the program’s number of appearances on BTN to 17 since its inception in 2007.

BTN’s coverage of college soccer will open with back-to-back appearances by the Buckeyes, beginning with a live game at 4 p.m. Sept. 25 vs. the Wolverines in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium followed by a road contest at Michigan State beginning at noon Oct. 2 in East Lansing, Mich. Ohio State and Indiana will face off in the regular-season finale Nov. 5 in Bloomington, Ind., with the game being shown at a to be determined time Nov. 6. This will mark the fourth time in five years the Buckeyes and Hoosiers have taken their regular-season battle to a national television audience.

In addition, BTN will broadcast one regular-season wildcard game to be determined, as well as the semifinals and final of the Big Ten Tournament scheduled for Nov. 11 and 13 in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Buckeyes report for preseason camp Aug. 10 and host their first exhibition vs. Wright State at 7 p.m. Aug. 17. With eight returning starters, they then open the regular-season under the guidance of 15-year head coach John Bluem at the Penn State Classic Aug. 27 and 29 with American and Siena.
