COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State looks to rebound from its first loss of the season at home when it hosts Indiana on Monday evening at Value City Arena. The game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday but was moved to Monday night to accommodate the rescheduling of the Iowa game. Brandon Gaudin and Buckeye Hall of Famer Jim Jackson will call the action on FS1.
- This is the 197th all-time meeting between Ohio State and Indiana. IU leads the series 109-87 but the Buckeyes have won the last three at home and six of the last eight overall.
- In the team’s first meeting this season, Indiana went on a 19-3 run to break open a one-point game and pulled away for a 67-51 victory on Jan. 6 in Bloomington. That is the Buckeyes’ worst loss of the season.
- The Buckeyes are very much in the mix at the top of the Big Ten standings at 9-5 in conference play. That is one loss behind a trio of teams at the top.
- Monday will be the first of three games this week as Ohio State will also play at Illinois on Thursday night and at Maryland on Sunday.
- J. Liddell is coming off another great all-around game with 15 points, eight rebounds, five blocks, an assist and a steal vs. Iowa on Saturday.
- Liddell is fourth in the conference in scoring at 19.7 and recently moved into 10th in school history in career blocks with 119. He is averaging 2.6 blocks this season which is tops in the conference.
- Jamari Wheeler has at least one steal in all but three games this year. He has 226 in his career which is now 10th all-time in Big Ten history.
- Monday night vs. Indiana will be the 150th game of Wheeler’s career.
- Freshman Malaki Branham led the Buckeyes on Saturday vs. Iowa with 22 points and a season-high eight rebounds. He is averaging 11.2 points per game this season and 14.1 per game in Big Ten play.
- Kyle Young grabbed five rebounds and scored 10 points vs. Iowa on Saturday. Monday night will be his 130th career game and he is 28 rebounds shy of 600 in his career.
- The Buckeyes are second in the conference in field goal percentage at 47.9 percent and have shot 50 percent or better 11 times this season.
