Buckeyes in the NFL – Week 3

Malcolm Jenkins and Marshon Lattimore helped the New Orleans Saints to a road win at the New England Patriots Sunday. Trey Sermon claimed his first career NFL touchdown for the San Francisco 49ers, while Sam Hubbard shined in a division road win for the Cincinnati Bengals. Ezekiel Elliott scored two touchdowns in a 41-21 rout by the Dallas Cowboys over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

Pick Six For Jenkins

Former Buckeye great Malcolm Jenkins came up with a huge defensive play  for the New Orleans Saints when he picked off New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones for a 34-yard pick six to start the second half in Foxborough.  Returning to New Orleans in 2020, Jenkins in his 14th season in the NFL and has 21 career INTs.

Lattimore Ices The Game

Marshon Lattimore stamped the Saints’ win over the Patriots when he grabbed an interception in the end zone on an errant pass by Mac Jones late in the fourth quarter. Lattimore finished with 10 tackles, 1 INT and 1 PBU.

First Career TD

Rookie running back Trey Sermon got the nod as the starter for the San Francisco 49ers in primetime Sunday night vs. the Green Bay Packers. Trailing 24-14 at the halfway point of the fourth quarter, Sermon capped off a nine-play, 81 yard drive with a one-yard plunge into the end zone.

Sam Hubbard Shines for Bengals

Sam Hubbard had himself an afternoon for the Cincinnati Bengals as the fourth-year NFL defensive lineman finished the game with six tackles, a sack and two QB hits. The Bengals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 24-10, to improve to 2-1 on the year.

Ezekiel Elliott Runs Through the Eagles

Ezekiel Elliott showed in primetime on Monday Night Football why he is one of the best running backs in the league as the former Buckeye powered to 95 rushing yards with two touchdowns in a 41-21 win by the Dallas Cowboys over the Philadelphia Eagles.
