Buckeyes in the NBA – 10/23/17

The #ProBucks got off to big starts to NBA’s opening week, with four Buckeyes landing on rosters to start the 2017-18 campaign.

National Exposure
Evan Turner and the Trailblazers take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday (10 p.m. ET/ NBA TV), while Kosta Koufos and the Kings take on New Orleans on Thursday (10:30 p.m. ET / TNT).

Mike Conley
Memphis Grizzlies

Conley enters his 11th NBA season with Memphis Grizzlies looking to build off of his best season as a pro.

Led the Grizzlies to a 2-0 record to start the season, including a 111-101 victory over the reigning NBA Champion Golden State Warriors Saturday night.

Conley averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds on the week.

Kosta Koufos
Sacramento Kings

Koufos enters his 10th season as a pro as a veteran presence and key member of the Sacramento Kings bench unit

Helped the Kings to a 1-2 record to open the season averaging 2.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in just over 18 minutes per game off the bench.

D’Angelo Russell
Brooklyn Nets

Russell enters his third season as the starting point guard of the Brooklyn Nets after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason.

Led the Nets to a 2-1 record on the week averaging 21.0 points, 7.0 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Started off the season with a bang posting a 30-point, five assist outing in the season-opening loss to the Indiana Pacer

Evan Turner
Portland Trail Blazers

Turner enters his eighth NBA season as a key contributor for the Portland Trailblazers.

Helped the Trailblazers to 2-1 record including posting 12 points, three assists, and four rebounds in his start in the season-opening victory over the Phoenix Suns 124-76.

Turner averaged 13.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds on the week for the ‘Blazers.
