COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State won all three events – the air pistol, sport pistol and standard pistol – at Akron on Saturday ti improve to 7-0 on the season. Highlights of the Buckeye triumph included:
- For the first time since the November 5-6 weekend against The Citadel, the Buckeyes finished above 6700 in the team aggregate
- Katelyn Abeln, a junior, lead the way in every event for the Buckeyes; air (564), sport (576), standard (562), and aggregate (1702)
- Katelyn Abeln’s 562 in standard was a person best
- Henry Leverett, a sophomore, had a strong showing in sport (575) and standard (554)
- Buckeyes took the top six individual 3-gun aggregate scores
- Buckeyes took the top five spots in the air pistol individually
- Buckeyes took the top seven spots in the sport pistol individually
- Buckeyes took the top six spots in standard pistol individually
