Jan. 13, 1999 – The Ohio State men’s swimming and diving team will host a two-day swim clinic for all ages beginning Friday, Jan. 15 featuring three-time Olympic gold medalist Josh Davis and the “World’s Fastest Man,” Bill Pilczuk.

The two swimmers will cover all strokes in the clinic, including starts and turns. Davis and Pilczuk will take swimmers through drills and demonstrate proper swimming technique. They will also give a motivational talk, sign autographs and answer questions. On Friday, Davis will lead the discussion and drills, while Pilczuk will lead on Saturday.

Davis won three gold medals in the 1996 Olympic Games and set three American records at the U.S. Open. Pilczuk is the world champion in the 50 meter freestyle, beating Olympic gold medalist Alexander Popov at the World Championships in Perth, Australia.

Those attending the swimming clinic are encouraged to remain at the Peppe Aquatic Center for the swim meet immediately following Saturday’s session, when the Buckeyes take the blocks against Kenyon College at 1 p.m.
