  • The Buckeyes have won the first two games of the season and have yet to play at home. But that will change on Sunday when Ohio State hosts in-state foe Ohio in the home-opener at 2 p.m. at Value City Arena.
  • Ohio State is 21-0 all-time against the Bobcats but the teams have met just six times since 1984 and not since 2004.
  • The Buckeyes are averaging 83.5 points per game in their first two games and are shooting better than 50 percent.
  • Ohio enters the game with a 2-1 record and is coming off a 67-51 victory over rival Marshall last Wednesday night.
  • Ohio State sophomore guard Janai Crooms had a career night in the overtime win at Cincinnati, notching her first double-double with 10 points and a career-high 12 assists. She also blocked a career-high three shots and scored five points in the overtime period.
  • Crooms has scored or more points in 10 consecutive games dating back to last season.
  • Playing in just her second game as a Buckeye, Braxtin Miller scored 18 points in 3-of-4 from long range in the win at Cincinnati.
  • Buckeye head coach Kevin McGuff is entering his seventh season at Ohio State and his 18 overall as a head coach. He is just six wins shy of 400 for his career.
