COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s soccer team will get prepped for the 2017 season with a pair of exhibition matches this week at Bert L. & Iris S. Wolstein Field at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. The Buckeyes host Louisville at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Pittsburgh at 5 p.m. Saturday in Columbus. Admission to both exhibitions and all 11 regular-season home matches is free.
The Buckeyes, led by 21st-year head coach Lori Walker-Hock, return 16 letterwinners and five starts off a 2016 team that finished with an 11-7-3 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, marking Ohio State’s seventh NCAA Tournament appearance in the last eight seasons.
Regular season play kicks off Aug. 18 at Arizona State with the home opener Aug. 26 against Buffalo.
