Buckeyes Host Duals in French Field House Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State fencing program will host duals throughout the day Saturday in French Field House. The Buckeyes will be joined by Cleveland State, Denison, Incarnate Word and Northwestern. Spectators will not be permitted.

The Buckeyes in 2021

  • This year, the Buckeye women are 10-5, with the men 8-3.
  • The squads competed last weekend on the road – the men lost twice to Notre Dame and defeated Lawrence twice. The women split two matchups with Northwestern, topped Lawrence twice and fell to the Irish twice.
  • For the women, Julieta Toledo leads with 31 wins in sabre, while Montseratt Viveros has a squad-best 31 epee wins and Camilla Rivano has 28 victories to lead foil. Alexanne Verret (28 in epee) and Evie Bustamante (21 in sabre) have also recorded 20-plus wins.
  • On the men’s side, Diego Cervantes is first with 21 wins in foil. Henry Lange is first for epee with 19 victories and Nolan Williams leads the sabre squad with 17 wins.
