Buckeyes Honored with Big Ten Awards

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State women’s tennis freshman Isabelle Boulais is the 2019 co-Big Ten Freshman of the Year and joins redshirt sophomore Shiori Fukuda on the All-Big Ten Team, the Big Ten Conference announced Thursday. In addition, sophomore Luna Dormet received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for Ohio State.

Boulais is the fifth Buckeye to be named Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and the fourth in the last six years, joining Fukuda (2018), Francesca Di Lorenzo (2016) and Gabriella DeSantis (2014). Fukuda is now a two-time All-Big Ten selection and the fifth from Ohio State to be recognized on the first team as both a freshman and sophomore.
