Buckeyes Hold Pro Scout Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team held its annual pro scout day Thursday afternoon at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. Approximately, 40 scouts were on hand as head coach Greg Beals ran his team through a series of drills before a simulated game where 11 Buckeye pitchers threw 1-2 innings each.

The day began with a stretch followed by 60-yard springs, batting practice, throwing drills, defensive drills and the simulate game. Ohio State hurlers Yianni Pavlopoulos, Adam Niemeyer, Seth Kinker, Reece Calvert, Ryan Feltner, Connor Curlis, Kyle Michalik, Thomas Waning, Austin Woodby, Curtiss Irving and Jonathan Jahn each through 1-2 innings during the simulated game.

Click above for a photo gallery of scout day. The Buckeyes are set to hold their annual Scarlet and Gray World Series in two weeks. Complete schedule is listed below and admission is free to the public (fans must use Pay-In-Display machines for parking during series).
