Ohio State will once again be venturing out of the Big Ten this Saturday when both the men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams travel to the Air Force Classic in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Buckeyes traveled to Indiana Saturday, a meet which saw the women place second to the host Hoosiers and the men finish third, behind Tennessee and Indiana.


The Ohio State mens and womens indoor track and field teams will take on Air Force, Arizona, Colorado and Colorado State Saturday at the Air Force Classic in Colorado Springs, Colo.


Air Force – The Falcons hosted the Rocky Mountain Cup yesterday in Colorado Springs, Colo. The men (109 points) placed second while the women (14 points) finished tied for eighth. Arizona – The Wildcats begin their season Saturday with the Air Force Classic. Colorado State – For the Rams, both the men (128 points) and the women (216 points) took home the title in the Rocky Mountain Cup yesterday in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Colorado was to begin their season Saturday. The Buffaloes were scheduled to host the Colorado Open.


For the women, All-American Dominque Calloway (Jr., Aurora, Colo.) had an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.37 in winning the 60-meter hurdles. Teammate Donica Merriman (So., Trotwood, Ohio) finished second in the event with a time of 8.44.Calloway also won the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.47. Cathy Rejouis (Sr., Calgary, Alberta) won the 400-meter dash while Alexis Schulist (Jr., Muskegon, Mich.) won the 3,000-meter run. Desiree Jones (So., Akron, Ohio), won the high jump and the 4×400 meter relay team of Rejouis, Carrie Hoblet (Jr., Lewis Center, Ohio), Ayanna Reece (Bronx, N.Y.) and Calloway also came out on top. For the men, Andrew Pierce (So., Yellow Springs, Ohio) and Brian Ely (Jr., Circleville, Ohio) were victorious, and Luke Fields (So., Worthington, Ohio) and Ian Connor (So., Lexington, Ohio) won the 800-meter dash and 3,000 meter run, respectively, for the Buckeyes.
