Columbus, Ohio – Both the men’s and women’s 2018 cross country teams will be back in action this Saturday. The 41sy annual Loyola Lakefront Invitational will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 at Lincoln Park in Chicago, Illinois. The women will run a 5k starting at 12:15 p.m. ET, and the men will run an 8k starting at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Lincoln Park, located near Chicago’s Montrose Avenue Beach, is the site for the 41st running of the Loyola Lakefront Invitational. The course contains a 2k loop and a 3k loop that weave around the Montrose Harbor Area, Cricket Hill, and Lake Michigan.

A Look Back
The Ohio State men’s and women’s cross country teams most recently traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the 2018 edition of the Commodore Classic. The women struck gold with 105 points and the men took eighth with 190 points. For the women, Junior Lainey Studebaker led the scoring efforts with a time of 18:04.70. The men were paced by sophomore Paul Bete who finished with a time of 25:22.1 placing 14th. The women’s team finished their 5k with a winning total run time of 1:30:53, while the men finished their 8k with a total run time of 2:11:16.
