COLUMBUS, Ohio – The seventh-ranked Ohio State field hockey team had an exciting send off to the airport outside of the Biggs Athletic Center Wednesday afternoon as the team headed to the Final Four of the 2010 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championships in College Park, Md.

The 2010 season has been a year to remember for the Scarlet and Gray. Ohio State won its third Big Ten regular-season championship this season as co-champions. The team advanced to its first NCAA semifinal appearance with a 3-2 overtime win over No.4-seed Syracuse Nov. 14 in State College, Pa. The 18 victories this year is also a single-season program record.
