Third-annual Ohio State student-athlete talent slated for 7 p.m. May 6

COLUMBUS, Ohio And the show continues! After two successful runs, Ohio State’s student-athlete talent show, Buckeyes Got Talent,’ will return for a third installment at 7 p.m. May 6 in St. John Arena. Mark your calendars now so you do not miss seeing the secret talents of your favorite Buckeyes revealed on stage.

In addition to the talent show, which is organized by the Ohio State Student-Athlete Advisory Board (SAAB), select Buckeyes will be available for an autograph session. Details on the autograph session will be released at a later date.

General admission tickets for the event can be purchased at the door for $5 with Ohio State student tickets discounted to $3 and no charge for children ages 6 and under. All proceeds from Buckeye Got Talent’ will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Columbus. In its two years, the show has raised more than $2,600.

In addition to helping the community, the talent show also provides an opportunity for the 36 Buckeye varsity sports to win bragging rights as the “most talented.” In 2008, the men’s cross country team took the crown with a four-man band, covering “That Thing You Do.” Coming in second was the men’s track and field team while men’s lacrosse rounded out the Top 3.

In its inaugural year, the wrestling team won the 2007 Buckeyes Got Talent title with a well-choreographed dance-off.
