Five members of the Ohio State women’s tennis team have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, the conference announced Wednesday.
Senior Andrea Ballinger, a psychology major, was recognized for the third time.
Communication majors Danielle Wolf, a redshirt junior, and Shiori Fukuda, a redshirt sophomore, both are now two-time honorees. Sophomores Emma DeCoste, a business major, and health science major Mary Beth Hurley both earned their first award.
The five Academic All-Big Ten Buckeyes also earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete awards this year. They were joined by sophomore Luna Dormet and freshmen Kolie Allen and Isabelle Boulais at the Ohio State Scholar-Athlete Dinner.
In all, a league-record 449 Buckeyes were named Academic All-Big Ten in 2018-19.
