COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s soccer team has earned the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and will host No. 6 seed Nebraska in a Big Ten quarterfinal match at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bert L. & Iris S. Wolstein Field at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Admission is free for the match, which will be televised live on BTN.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the match because of traffic with multiple events going on around campus.

The winner of the matchup between the Buckeyes and Huskers will take on the winner of the quarterfinal match between No. 2 Rutgers and No. 7 Minnesota in the Big Ten semifinals at 1:30 p.m. ET Nov. 2 at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.

“We’re really excited to be playing at home and to finally know who we’re playing,” Lori Walker-Hock, Ohio State head coach, said. “Our preparation begins now. I like our matchup against Nebraska. The game in September could have gone either way so it’s a good opportunity for us to step up and take control of things. We look forward to the challenge.”

Ohio State is 4-4-1 all-time against Nebraska after a 1-1 draw Sept. 30 in Columbus. The Buckeyes are 13-13-4 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament, earning a 2-1 double-overtime win over Iowa in the quarterfinals last season in Columbus before dropping a 1-0 double-overtime decision to No. 15 Penn State in the semifinals in Westfield, Ind. Ohio State has won the conference tournament three times (2002, 2004 and 2012).
