Buckeyes Earn Four Wins at Big Ten Invite

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State first novice eight earned a win Saturday morning at Nathan Benderson Park on the final day of the Big Ten Invitational to close out the trip to Sarasota, Fla. for the No. 9 Buckeyes. The team finished the regatta with four race wins on the weekend.

The first novice eight raced a time of 6:40.856 to cross the finish nearly four seconds ahead of the second-place Wisconsin crew. The win is the boat’s fourth of the year.

Yesterday, it was the first varsity eight, second varsity eight and first varsity four picking up wins for the Buckeyes.

Ohio State will race next at the Longhorn Invite April 29-30 for its final regular season regatta. The Big Ten Championship is set for May 15 in Indianapolis, Ind.
