EVANSTON, Ill. – Three Buckeyes scored in double figures but it was Northwestern’s day as the Wildcats ran away for a 76-59 victory on Sunday afternoon.

Northwestern was able to take advantage of the Buckeye miscues and broke open a single-digit game early in the second half with a big run.

Dorka Juhasz led the Buckeyes with 14 points and seven rebounds. She also grabbed a season-high four steals.

Janai Crooms and Carly Santoro each chipped-in with 10 points while Adreana Miller had seven points and Aaliyah Patty added six points and six rebounds.

The Buckeyes were plagued by turnovers in the opening half. They committed 10 turnovers and made just eight buckets. That allowed Northwestern to build a 12-point lead. Ohio State finished the half on a mini 5-0 run, capped by a jumper from Miller in the final seconds and the Buckeyes trailed 34-27 at the break.

The Wildcats came out of the locker room and outscored Ohio State 23-15 to give themselves a little breathing room and then a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter removed all doubt. Northwestern took its biggest lead of the game at 76-46 with just under five minutes to play and the Buckeyes would finish the game on a 13-0 run to provide the final score.

The story of the day was 20 Buckeye turnovers which led to 25 Northwestern points. The Wildcats, who were coming off a tough home loss to Minnesota last Thursday, committed just four turnovers through the majority of the game before giving up a five more in the waning moments.
