The Ohio State women’s tennis team opened its dual match season with a 4-0 victory at No. 13 Georgia Tech Saturday. The match was part of Kick-Off Weekend, with the Buckeyes advancing to the site championship match. Ohio State (1-0) will take on the winner of No. 25 Kentucky (4-0) and Auburn (4-0) at 1 p.m. Sunday for a spot in the ITA Team Indoor Championship (live scoring).
The Buckeyes won two of three doubles matches and three singles matches for the team victory. Kolie Allen and Danielle Wolf led the Buckeyes with victories in singles and doubles.

“We came out ready to play today. We competed hard. We are going to need to come out and do the same thing tomorrow so right now it’s all about preparing for Auburn or Kentucky.”
In Doubles
The Yellow Jackets posted the first doubles win, with Nami Otsuka and Gia Cohen topping Buckeyes Mary Beth Hurley and Luna Dormet, 6-3, on court three.
Ohio State claimed the next two matches for the doubles point and 1-0 lead. The tandem of Shiori Fukuda and Isabelle Boulais led the majority of the match and won 6-3 on court one over Kenya Jones and Jeanette Lin. The duo of Kolie Allen and Danielle Wolf held 4-1 and 5-2 leads against Victoria Flores and Valeriya Deminova before the Jackets drew to 5-4, but the Buckeyes prevailed for a 6-4 victory.
In Singles
On court four, Yellow Jacket Dalila retired after one game against Buckeye Danielle Wolf for a 2-0 Ohio State advantage.
The Buckeyes lost just one game on both court two and court five to clinch the team victory. On court two, Kolie Allen defeated Jeanette Lin, 6-1, 6-0, and on court five Luna Dormet clinched the team win, downing Gia Cohen, 6-0, 6-1.
Three singles matches went unfinished. Buckeyes Isabelle Boulais and Mary Beth Hurley both were up a set in their matches when play was called.
