COLUMBUS, Ohio – Katelyn Abeln took first place overall and top honors in the air pistol and sport pistol as Ohio State defeated North Dakota State over the weekend in Fargo, ND. The Buckeyes had a final team score of 6729 while North Dakota State fired a 5996.
Ohio State had six of the top overall placeholders, led by Abeln’s score of 1705. Maria Tsarik was second (1692), followed by Jackson Leverett (1683), Abbie Leverett (1673), Henry Leverett (1631) and Amanda Ackerman (1622). Tsarik was first overall in the standard pistol.
In the air pistol, Abeln was first overall with a score of 575, followed by Panagiota Charalampous and Jackson Leverett, who tied for second (565).
The sport pistol was won by Abeln (573) and Ohio State had the top six finishers overall. Tsarik took second place (572) while Jackson Leverett (569), Abbie Leverett (565), Henry Leverett (562) and Amanda Ackerman (554) rounded out the Ohio State placers.
The standard pistol was also dominated by Ohio State with each of the top six finishers, led by Maria Tsarik’s first-place score of 558.
