The Buckeyes continued their streak of success again last weekend in Massachusetts against Wheaton College, Boston University and the University of Illinois synchronized swimming programs at the Wheaton Invitational. The Gray squad faced some of their tightest competition of the season as Wheaton took second, just 5.0667 points behind Ohio State in the team routine competition. The synchro stars once again rose to the occasion with a Buckeye claiming first place in every category.
UA Collegiate Open
The Scarlet squad traveled to Arizona last weekend to participate in the 2019 UA Collegiate Open to perform in the Skyline Aquatic Center. The team did not have representatives in the trio portion of the competition. However, they showed off their exceptional technique in the figure portion of the evening. For A figures, the most difficult figure category where athletes demonstrate four synchronized swimming staple movements, the Buckeyes secured the top-five placements with Cassie Neeley, Laila Huric, Rachel Jager, Stephanie Thielemann and Phoebe Coffin.
