Buckeyes Collect Four All-America Honors on Day Three of NCAAs

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Buckeyes added to their All-American count on Friday, collecting four more All-American honors on the third day of the NCAA Championships to bring their total to nine.

Ohio State moved up one spot in the standings after day three; the Buckeyes are in 14th place with 54.5 points.

Meet Notes

  • Ruslan Gaziev earned his second individual Honorable Mention All-America recognition with a 14th place finish in the 200 free. Gaziev touched the wall at 1:32.85.
  • Three divers earned All-America recognition in the 3-meter dive. Lyle Yost, the 1-meter dive national champion, finished fifth in the championship final with an overall score of 408.50. Yost has now collected two First Team All-America honors.
  • In the consolation final, Jack Matthews placed fourth with a score of 399.10 and Clayton Chaplin finished eighth with a score of 366.20. Both earned Honorable Mention All-America honors.

  • The NCAA Championships wrap up on Saturday, March 25 with prelims starting at 10:00 a.m. CT and finals at 6:00 p.m. CT. The final day’s events are the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, platform dive and 400 free relay. Both sessions can be streamed live on ESPN+.
