“What a successful Buckeye Open,” said Tanoue. “I want to first thank all of the teams and competitors for coming from all over the country to Columbus and the Ohio State campus to participate in the event. For us to have over 150 competitors was fantastic and we saw some incredible performances over the two weekends. I also want to thank Dr. Fellingham for coming to watch the matches. His support for our shooting programs is incredible and we can’t thank him enough how much he has done for our program.”
As for our team’s performance on Sunday, there were quite a few outstanding individual performances but overall I know that it left us wanting a lot more,” Tanoue said. “Although the score wasn’t what we were looking for, there were also a lot of positives to take away from the match and we’ll look to learn from our mistakes and be ready to go as we head to Morgantown to face #1 WVU this coming Saturday.”
Ohio State returns to action this Saturday as they face West Virginia at the WVU Rifle Range in Morgantown.
