COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State University pistol team set an all-time program record during a home match vs. Akron and Purdue, posting a 6,491 3-gun aggregate score in the Open competition. The new marks bests the previous high by 24 points (6,467 posted on Feb. 1, 2014).

The Air Pistol squad broke a school record, too, topping the previous mark set earlier this season (Nov. 2017) by carding a 2,247 over the weekend.

Individually, Buckeyes could be found at the top of the Open Air (McCollum), Free (Gens), Sport (Andrianova) and Standard (McCollum) standings. Purdue’s Rachel McCartney spoiled the clean sweep, nudging out Andrianova by a lone point (369-368) in the Women Air competition.
