“Coming off of the winter break and starting our spring season on the road was certainly not an easy task. There was definitely some rust and a few nerves during smallbore on Saturday, but as we have shown all season the resiliency of this group is a huge strength and we were able to bounce back in air rifle with a fantastic program record score,” said head coach Ryan Tanoue. “Our air rifle performances this season have continued to improve and impress and for us to reset the program record in air rifle for the second time this season was an incredible accomplishment. It was also a very close and exciting match and for us to beat a team like Air Force who has been one of the highest performing teams all season was a great accomplishment for our group. Sunday was a bit better in some areas but a struggle in others and overall I felt the weekend was a solid step back into action for our team. We are still pushing very hard to improve our three score average as we head toward the NCAA qualifier next month and we’ll have two great chances to do that this coming weekend against #1 TCU and Coast Guard in Ft. Worth.”

Ohio State returns to action with a three way match with TCU and Coast Guard this coming Saturday, January 21 and against Coast Guard on Sunday, January 22 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
