Bowl Championship Series and bowl matchups to be announced in coming days

The Ohio State football team awaits its 2008-09 postseason fate with official bowl announcements coming the week of Dec. 1-7. The Buckeyes currently are under consideration for their sixth BCS bowl game in the last eight seasons, all under head coach Jim Tressel.

Bowl Selection Special Airs Sunday Night on Big Ten Network

Seven Big Ten teams will be rewarded for a year’s worth of hard work and dedication with trips to bowl games. Host Dave Revsine and analysts Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith will break down where each team is headed and how they match up with their opponents during the Big Ten Tonight: Bowl Selection Special at 9 PM ET on Sunday.  Who will Penn State face in the Rose Bowl? Will the Buckeyes be a BCS at-large selection? And where will Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern and Wisconsin travel for the holidays? The possible Big Ten destinations include Miami, Pasadena, Calif., Glendale, Ariz., New Orleans, Tampa, Orlando, San Antonio, Tempe, Ariz., and Detroit. In addition, Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany will join the crew in studio to discuss the BCS.
