Buckeyes Add a Pair on Signing Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf coaching staff welcomed in two new Buckeyes on Wednesday (Nov. 9), signing JonErik Alford and Kevin Stone to join the 2017-18 Buckeyes. Alford hails from head coach Jay Moseley’s home state of Georgia while Stone is a native Hoosier like assistant coach Brad Smith.

“The best thing about JonErik and Kevin is that they know how to win,” Moseley said. “They have both won numerous tournaments and they love to compete. Both of them have the ability to play any golf course well because their golf skills are very balanced and consistent. We expect them to make an immediate impact next Fall.”

• Came from behind on the final day to win the 2015 IJGA Junior Open for his first AJGA title. Fired a 4-under 68 in the last round to overcome a six-stroke deficit entering the day • Three Top-10 AJGA event finishes in 2016
• Also competed on the hardwood and the gridiron for Mount Pisgah Christian
• Son of Trisha Young and Erik Alford
• Two younger siblings – Kaden and Ana Grace
