The COVID-19 pandemic is the only thing which managed to stop Bryce Hepner from reaching the the Ohio State High School State Championships finals throughout his career. He competed in the last bout as a freshman runner-up before snagging back-to-back D-I titles in the next two subsequent seasons. Hepner’s quest for a third straight crown was unfortunately denied by the cancellation of the 2020 event.
The National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) All-American competed for perennial powerhouse St. Edward High School and placed at the Ironman tournament three times. Hepner also garnered three freestyle state championships.
Brother, Cade, is a member of the Ohio State wrestling program as well. He’ll be a redshirt junior for the 2020-21 campaign.
