After the Scarlet vs. Gray exhibition game Oct. 2, regular-season hockey gets underway in Value City Arena Oct. 15. The home schedule for the upcoming year includes 17 regular-season games, including matchups with Michigan, the 2010 CCHA Tournament champion, and Michigan State, as well as 2010 CCHA regular-season champion Miami. The Buckeyes also will host Notre Dame, Alaska, Lake Superior State and Ferris State in Central Collegiate Hockey Association action, along with non-conference games with Robert Morris and Alabama-Huntsville.

The 2010-11 campaign marks the first for the Buckeyes under head coach Mark Osiecki, who was hired in the spring after spending six years at Wisconsin where he was a part of the 2006 NCAA championship squad and helped the Badgers to the national championship game in 2010. The Buckeye squad returns 19 letterwinners from the team a year ago, including three of the top four scorers, six defensemen and all three goalies.
