The Ohio State fencing program prepares their student-athletes for success as students, athletes and citizens. Support for this program will be used to enhance the circle of care for our student-athletes, including priorities such as leadership and career development, nutrition, equipment, travel and facility upgrades.
When Lauryn DeLuca was young, brain scans revealed scarring in the cerebral cortex of her brain which translates to cerebral palsy. Now, she is the only varsity Paralympian fencer in the NCAA. Although she cannot compete for Ohio State, she is still considered a member of the team. She is continuing her training and hopes to represent Team USA in future Paralympics.Read more
