COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman LaToya Turner, a 6-4 center from Pickerington%^$(Ohio) High School, will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Friday morning at The Ohio State University Medical Center.%^$

%^$The procedure, to help alleviate swelling in her left knee, will be performed by Dr. Chris Kaeding, chief orthopedic consultant to the Department of Athletics.%^$

%^$”LaToya has been progressing well,” Dr. Kaeding said. “This procedure will allow us to take a closer look and determine if there is anything more that can be done to help speed the recovery of the knee. %^$

%^$”I anticipate that she will require the use of crutches for one to two days and then resume her normal schedule of rehabilitation.”%^$

%^$Turner, a consensus prep all-American, first sustained injury to her anterior cruciate ligament in the WBCA All-Star Game in Hartford, Conn., in April. The initial surgery, also performed by Kaeding, occurred April 30.%^$

%^$The co-Ms. Basketball averaged 20.2 points and 10.6 rebounds for the national champion Lady Tigers last season who also claimed back-to-back state crowns.%^$
