COLUMBUS, Ohio DJ Bucher, who finished his gymnastics career at Ohio State as a six-time All-American last spring, graduated with an undergraduate degree in textiles and clothing from The Ohio State University Sunday in the Jerome Schottenstein Center. A native of Mason, Ohio, Bucher was a standout for the men’s program since his rookie season when he collected All-America honors on three events, the most by a freshman in Buckeye history.
In his career, he captured the 2005 and ’07 Big Ten parallel bars titles and won the 2006 Big Ten pommel horse crown. Bucher, who served as captain of the 2008 squad, was a four-time All-Big Ten selection and a 2007 and 08 CGA Second Team All-America Scholar-Athlete. Beyond his success at the collegiate level, Bucher was named to the 2002 and ’05 U.S. Senior National teams.
