BTN will debut an enhanced episode of an Ohio State Football Classic: Ohio State at Texas on Sunday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET.
Former Buckeyes linebacker James Laurinaitis will break down No. 1 Ohio State’s dominating 24-7 win over No. 2 Texas, college football’s defending national champions.
The 90-minute episode features Laurinaitis and other key participants in the game – Ted Ginn Jr., Malcom Jenkins, Anthony Gonzalez and Colt McCoy – reliving their memories of a game that catapulted the Buckeyes toward the 2007 National Championship game.
Ohio State stopped the Longhorn’s 21-game win streak and ended a Texas run of 12 consecutive games of scoring more than 40 points as Troy Smith captained an efficient offensive effort with 269 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns through the air. James Laurinaitis led an opportunistic Silver Bullet Buckeye defense with an interception of Texas QB Colt McCoy.
The Buckeyes went unbeaten in the 2006 regular season, claiming the Big Ten title and played Florida in the BCS National Championship Game.
