COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will be represented on Team USA by Brady Koontz (55kg) and Nick Boykin (97kg) at the 2022 Pan American Wrestling Championships May 5-8 in Acapulco, Mexico. The pair will be in the Greco-Roman competition.
Boykin recently won the 97kg Greco-Roman title at the Bill Farrell Memorial International Open with a 10-1 technical fall in the finals over Christian Rouleau (Minnesota Storm. The event was held in Cedar Falls, Iowa, April 1-2.
Koontz recently finished his redshirt junior season with the Buckeyes. He has a career record of 18-16 and won the 2021 Storm Open at 125 pounds with a 4-0 record.
