COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rising senior Boo Timko has been recognized as a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for the 2013-14 academic year. He is one of 207 Division-I men’s golfers to earn the prestigious accolade. Timko is the 12th different Buckeye to earn All-America Scholar recognition all-time, racking up a total of 19 awards.

To be eligible an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years, participate in 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Recipients must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Timko was also tabbed as a PING All-Midwest Region and All-Big Ten player after pacing Ohio State with a 72.94 average in 36 rounds played while contributing to the team tally 35 times. He dipped under par on 10 occasions, including seven rounds in the 60s. Timko placed in the top-20 in half of the 12 tournaments. He ascended to the top-5 twice.
