%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten women’s basketball Foreign Tour Team got off to a solid start in its five-game European tour, impressively winning both of its first two games this week.%^$

%^$On Thursday, the Big Ten squad pounded the Baden Blackjacks, 101-63, in Baden, Austria. The Big Ten, led by Illinois’ Karen Hagberg’s 17 points and 12 rebounds, ran out to a 58-28 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the easy win.%^$

%^$On Friday, the Big Ten team traveled to Wels, Austria, to take on Gustino Powerbasket Wels. After jumping out to a 43-30 halftime lead, the Big Ten squad held off a Gustino rally and posted an 81-66 triumph. Ohio State’s D’wan Shackleford (So., Newark, Ohio/Newark) provided a big boost for the Big Ten team, scoring five points while grabbing five rebounds and one steal.%^$

%^$The Big Ten Foreign Tour Team returns to the court Sunday in Bratislava, Slovakia, for a battle with Slovan Bratislava.
