COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 13 Ohio State used a 33-0 run that spanned 7:32 of the second half to break away from Dartmouth for a 103-70 victory Friday evening in Value City Arena.

The run broke open a seven-point game midway through the third quarter. The Buckeyes, who improved to 10-2 on the season, scored 60 points and shot 60 percent in the second half.

Kelsey Mitchell led four Buckeyes in double-figures with 22 points to go along with five assists and zero turnovers. Sierra Calhoun continued her string of solid performances with 20 points on 4-of-7 from long range.

Stephanie Mavunga notched a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards while Linnae Harper chipped-in with 16 points and three steals.

Columbus native Andi Norman led the Big Green with a game-high 23 points.

Dartmouth jumped out to the early lead and held it for the first eight minutes of the game. The Buckeyes then went on a 9-0 run in the final minute of the first quarter, capped by a deep Mitchell three and OSU led 22-19 after the first.

The Buckeyes led 43-31 at the break and Dartmouth’s 13th three of the night cut the lead to 58-51 with 4:14 to play in third. OSU then took over on both ends and ended the quarter on a 20-0 run to regain control.

The run extended to 33-0 through the first three and a half minutes of the fourth quarter as the Buckeyes removed all doubt.


  • This was the Buckeyes’ fourth 100-point game, tying the OSU single-season record for 100-point games
  • With her five assists, Kelsey Mitchell passes Katie Smith for No. 8 on the OSU career assist chart. She now has 446 in her career, passing Smith who dished-out 444 in her career from 1993-96
  • Sierra Calhoun had 20 points and has now had 15 or more points in four of the last five games
  • Stephanie Mavunga had her seventh double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds
  • The 35 points in the third quarter tied the most in a quarter this season for the Buckeyes
  • OSU shot 60 percent in the second half (24-of-40) and scored 60 points
  • The Buckeyes had 21 assists, tying a season-high and marking the third 20-assist game of the year
  • OSU was whistled for just two fouls in the game and Dartmouth did not shoot a free throw
  • Dartmouth made a season-high 16 threes which marked the most made three-pointers by an opponent in Value City Arena.
