CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ohio State gymnast Rebecca Best posted a 9.650 on balance beam at the NCAA Championships Friday afternoon at the Wolstein Center. The score was good for 30th in the event for the Buckeye co-captain.

The trip to the national championships was the third for Best. A three-time All Big Ten selection, Best traveled as an alternate as a freshman before collecting second team All-America honors on floor in 2009 to become the sixth Buckeye to earn All-America honors.

The Buckeyes, led by 2011 Big Ten Coach of the Year Carey Fagan, finished third as a team at the Ann Arbor Regional, the sixth-consecutive NCAA regional appearance for Ohio State.
