COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week two of the baseball season provides the opportunity to hear from co-Big Ten Pitcher of the Week Drew Rucinski, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Okla., and catcher Dan Burkhart, a sophomore from Cincinnati.

Rucinski, who pitched 6.1 scoreless innings for the Buckeyes over the weekend and picked up a save vs. Notre Dame and the win vs. Cincinnati, talks about the team’s performance as well as how he was feeling during his two appearances.

Burkhart is Ohio State’s catcher. He addressed the performances of the Ohio State pitching staff and shared who had some of the best stuff this weekend. He also let us know that Dale Hampshire’s school record of seven triples hit during the 1959 season is not in jeopardy.
