COLUMBUS, Ohio – Annie Carruthers, a goalie on the No. 19-ranked Ohio State women’s lacrosse team, earned her first American Lacrosse Conference honor of her career after being named the ALC Defensive Player of the Week Wednesday. The Columbus native helped lead the Buckeyes to a 16-7 win over visiting American last Saturday. Carruthers tallied seven saves and allowed just four goals in 47:15 of action against the Eagles.

The Buckeyes travel to California Wednesday for a pair of games over the weekend. They will face California at 3 p.m. Friday before facing No. 15 Stanford at 1 p.m. Sunday. All times are Pacific.
