Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State senior Scott Anderson will be the lone representive for the men’s golf team May 19-21 at the 2005 NCAA Central Regional in South Bend, Ind. The University of Notre Dame will play host to the event at the par 70 Warren Golf Course (7,011 yards).

The three-day event will consist of 18 holes each day. Teams who are seeded 16-27 will tee off at 7:12 a.m., while seeds 1-15 plus individual qualifers will tee off at 11:15 a.m.

Last Time Out
The Ohio State men’s golf team finished sixth at the 2005 Big Ten Championships with a three-round total of 867. The University of Wisconsin played host to the event at the par 72 University Ridge Golf Course (6,888 yards) in Madison, Wis.

Scott Anderson finished the tournament as the top Buckeye golfer thanks to a final round score of four-under-par, 68, to tie for 10th. Anderson finished the tournament with a three-round mark of 215. Colin Biles also finished strong as he fired a final round mark of one-under-par, 71, to finish with a total of 218 and tie for 21st.

Michigan State captured the tournament title with a mark of 847, while Indiana’s Jeff Overton captured medalist honors as he carded a three-round total of 199.

Recapping Anderson’s Senior Season
Scott Anderson- Named First Team All-Big Ten … competed in all 31 rounds this season for the Buckeyes … notched his best performance of the spring portion of the season as he carded a total 211 to tie for ninth with teammate Zack Randol at the 2005 Marshall Invitational … tied for eighth with a three-round total of 215 at the 2005 St. Croix Collegiate Classic … opened the spring portion of the 2005 season at the Gator Invitational where he carded a total of 218 to tie for 17th … posted his best finish of the fall season at the Landfall Tradition as he tied for seventh with three-round total of 211 … at the Barona Collegiate Cup, he a carded a total of 208 to tie for ninth-place … paced the Buckeyes as he tied for 14th at the 2004 Gary Koch Intercollegiate with a three-round total of 220 … opened the 2004-05 season at the 2004 SMU Invitational tying for 14th with an 18-hole total of 72.

Anderson Earns First Team All-Big Ten
Ohio State senior golfer Scott Anderson was named First Team All-Big Ten following competition at the 2005 Big Ten Championships in Madison, Wis., where he tied for 10th with a three-round total of 215. Anderson’s all-league honor was the first of his career.

During his senior season, Anderson competed in al 31 rounds of action this season and led the Buckeyes in stroke average with a mark of 72.6 strokes per round and posted five Top 10 finishes.
