Allessie Named to All-Tournament Team

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman Mackenzie Allessie was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team, the conference announced today. Allessie was responsible for the Buckeyes’ lone goal in the tournament on Thursday, helping to put seventh-seed Ohio State on the board in the game versus Iowa. The second-seed Iowa Hawkeyes advanced in the tournament with the 4-1 win against the Buckeyes, and won the tournament today. The list features student-athletes from seven Big Ten institutions who played exceptionally in the tournament. 

Allesie has had a standout freshman season for the Buckeyes, recording 37 points and five assists for the scarlet and gray. She is the team leader in season goals and points, and surpassed last year’s season leader by ten points.
