May 26, 2017

West Windsor, N.J. – The No. 4 Ohio State women’s rowing team had a stellar first day of competition at the NCAA Championships. Racing on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J., on Friday morning, the Scarlet and Gray’s 1V8 and 1V4 won their heats, and the 2V8 picked up a second-place showing in their heat.

With those finishes, all three boats automatically advance to the A/B semifinals, which will take place Saturday morning. The A/B semifinals will be seeded later Friday afternoon after the completion of the repechages. Ohio State is one of five schools (Washington, California, Michigan and Texas) to have all three boats already entered in the A/B semifinals.
